Easy hikes and walks in Όρος Καστέλι-Μπλωστή (Θηναίας-Ζωλών-Λιβαδίου)

The charming fishing harbor in Lixouri, the second largest town on the Greek island of Kefalonia. The harbor is known for its traditional Greek fishing boats, often referred to as Caiques (Kaiki). These colorful wooden boats shape the image of the waterfront promenade and give the place its authentic, "working" charm in contrast to the more sophisticated Argostoli on the other side of the bay. The harbor is located directly on Lixouri's main square (Petritsi Square), which forms the heart of the town. The easiest way to reach Lixouri is by the regularly operating ferry from Argostoli. The crossing takes about 20 to 30 minutes and offers a great view of the coast.
