Small on the outside, but a very large pub on the inside, perfect for a break. As always, with Cornish cream tea.

On the other side of the lake from the watersports centre, it is calm and relaxing. There are beautiful views across the water to the hills of Cornish farmland. A really peaceful spot.

The walk around the lake is pleasant. Despite heavy rain, the paths were not particularly boggy. The low level of the lake meant that we could see the remains of old stone walls that had been previously submerged

Sitithians Lake is the largest inland water in West Cornwall and boasts a variety of watersports at an activity centre, fishing, lakeside walking and a café. The lake is a reservoir, dammed in 1967 which submerged 274 acres of farmland. This bridge was created to replace roads that were now under water.
