Beautiful views, and you can even sit down here. It's also not as busy as Land's End.

A very pretty part of the South West Coast Path on the headland just west of Sennen village and cove. Great views in both directions along the coast and you are also likely to see climbers on the cliffs in this area. Sennen has shops, pubs and a fish and chip shop as well as a great beach and parking. Walking west there isn't much until you get to Lands End.

The section of the South West Coast Path here at Pordenack Point is simply beautiful. It is the first major headland south of Land's End. There are beautiful coastal views to be had from here, especially south towards the headland of Carn Boe. The finest granite cliffs in Cornwall are to be found here, between Pordenack and Porthgwarra in the south.

This point is of course the classic one and you have to head there just for the photos. But it's better to leave the tourist center to one side and continue walking along the wonderful coastal path.

Maen Castle, near Sennen Harbour north of Land's End in Cornwall, is the westernmost promontory fort in England. It is a good example of the approximately 30 Iron Age fortifications in Cornwall, also known as "cliff castles". Maen Castle, like Trevelgue Head, has two semi-circular ditches (Treryn Dinas has three) over the neck of a headland. It is one of the two oldest datable promontory forts in Cornwall and dates from around 500 BC. Excavations took place in 1939 and 1948-1949. The approximately 300 potsherds found cover the period from 400 BC to 400 AD. According to legend, the giant "Myen Du" is said to have lived here.
