Stopped for lunch on the way back. Fed the family of swans. Also spotted a rather large jack pike.

Great outdoor seating area at the back over looking the Leeds Liverpool canal. Perfect spot to have a drink and watch the world go by!

Foxes, field voles, mice and weasels can all be spotted in this lovely little reserve, whilst bird life is positively prolific. Wild honeysuckle is common here and in the warmer months a sea of bluebells adds colour on either side of the trails. Just a short walk from Horsforth Station, it is a lovely patch of woodland to get back in touch with nature.
