Couldn’t find the dragon unfortunately. But still a nice walk

A unique blend of ancient & regenerative woodlands, Arger Fen & Spouse's Vale is a dreamy & lush 49.7-hectare wood worth the visit.

Heavy rain the day before I went past this one, so it was about 30cm deep and running fast, took the pedestrian option instead on my gravel bike. It's a relatively steep descent down, so one to get prepared for. The rest of the lane before and afterwards is very picturesque and quiet.

Don't miss the large stone outside which traditionally marks the spot where St Edmund was crowned king of the East Angles in 855.
