It's also a very short distance, across a main road, to Dunstable Downs and a coffee with a view at the Visitor Centre.

From the top of this ancient motte-and-bailey fortification, you can see the town of Dunstable itself, as well as the rolling hills and farmlands that stretch out into the distance. On a clear day the view can reach as far as the Chiltern Hills to the northwest, providing a beautiful mix of urban and rural landscapes.
