Crossing staff have unilaterally decided that only one bike can cross at a time and then only if the rider is a key worker on way to or from work. No mention of this on the website, you only find out when you get there and are interrogated on the phone - or when you read the notice (dated 5/11/20). You can either give up after a wasted journey, or tell them you are indeed such a worker.... I imagine the bicycle transit drivers have had little to do since they came up with this wizard wheeze.
