Haigh Hall is a historic country house in Haigh, Wigan, Greater Manchester. Built between 1827 and 1840 for James Lindsay, 7th Earl of Balcarres, it replaced an ancient manor house and was a Lindsay family home until 1947, when it was sold to Wigan Corporation. The hall is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building and is owned by Wigan Council. It has a great cycling path around the hall and around the grounds.

A nice paved road leading to Haigh Hall, with good off road trails in the neighbouring woodlands. Watch for dog walkers and pedestrians, as itโ€™s a shared usage area. Great sunsets can be seen from here! ๐Ÿ˜€

The path here is far nice than staying on the canal path

Lovely woodland park with a country house at its heart. Generations of Wiganers have learned to ride bikes on that road (not actually open to traffic) and been rewarded with ice cream from the cafe. I may have got too big for the play area, but I'll never grow out of ice cream. ๐Ÿ˜
