An unusually spacious bathing area with a large park in front. Plenty of seating and tables! A very pleasant stay in any case. The lake view is fantastic. Swimming is pure pleasure here, but treading water is also very possible. The entrance looks closed from a distance, but that's deceptive. It's a public area that's frequently used for events, such as concerts in the adjacent monastery ruins.

The beautiful Altfriedland Monastery Church is one of the oldest buildings in Märkische Schweiz (Markish Switzerland) and tells a story spanning almost 800 years. Originally built between 1230 and 1271 as part of a Cistercian monastery, it was rebuilt in 1734. The striking church tower was added in 1864. Today, the church serves as a Protestant village church and is an important cultural center of the town.
