This linden tree is already mentioned in the draft for the Forstbotanisch Merkbuch für Brandenburg around 1900. Reduced habit due to dying crown and severe crown pruning. Trunk at the base very strong and bulbous due to constant water ice pruning. Waist above 210 cm trunk height. Two measurements 603 in 130 cm trunk height, 510 cm in 210 cm meter trunk height. A very beautiful autumn hike. Partly through the forest and deserted. Unfortunately, part of it also runs along the road. (We took a shortcut!) :-) Sturdy shoes and surefootedness are required, even when crossing fields and supply roads. Our highlight was Gutshof Stober. We had a very good meal there!

An idyllic spot ... be warned of mosquitoes here (in May) ...

At the end of the shore path, which leads along the Groß Behnitzer See, an idyllic bench awaits the weary hiker. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet and let your gaze wander before continuing on your way rested. There are even a few small shelves on the left and right for the marching provisions and they are also covered! - A gem that will hopefully stay in this perfect condition for a long time to come...
