Edlandsfjellet lies south of Ålgård and is the most used hiking terrain in Ålgård's immediate area. When you drive the E39 along Edlandsvatnet, you will see Edlandsfjellet on the other side of the lake. The tour can start from the car park at Neseskogen. You can get here by driving Rv 506 until Edland, turn off and drive Neseveien until Nesskogen. From here there are several marked trails. The landscape mostly consists of pastures, heathers, bogs and bare rock faces.

A well-known landmark is Stemmen, a dammed pond from a former power station. The voice raged out in 1919 and has left clear traces in the landscape after this. The voice was rebuilt with continued operation of the power plant. The trip can also go to Nonsfjellet. Follow the path to the left of Stemmen and south up Fannalidalen and walk towards the cairn at the top. Bursfjellet is located in Time municipality and is a nice extension of the trip. Continue from Nonsfjellet south/west. You can also take the trip around Engjavatnet. Good trip in great terrain!

The nest box for birds is really worth seeing. Do the birds dare to fly through the open mouth? Someone made an effort!
