First, it goes through the forest. You don't expect anything bad and suddenly the view opens up over idyllic villages, mountains, and distant neighboring mountain ranges like the Knüll, for example. Surprise successful.

There are beautiful views of parts of the Rhön Mountains from here. Almost every time I've been there, though, it's been very windy, sometimes even stormy. Definitely a highly recommended spot.
