The now almost dilapidated women's salon on the Tannenberg was once intended to serve "human pleasure in the forest". The fun-loving Margrave Friedrich of Bayreuth had it built in 1762, but died shortly afterwards. In 1769, the pavilion, located at a height of 567 meters, was still not quite finished. Like the Kaiserhammer hunting lodge to which it belonged, it was left to decay. There was never a robber baron's residence here, as the legend goes.

The Steinselb winds its way through the former margravial hunting grounds around the Kaiserhammer hunting lodge in a wild and romantic way. You can rest right next to the small bridge over the stream and listen to the rippling of the Steinselb, the "eternal rush".

A large granite block with the inscription "In memory of the victims of the death march of April 15, 1945" commemorates the 17 people who lost their lives here, emaciated and exhausted, shortly before the capitulation of the German Reich in the Second World War, during a march of dozens of prisoners guarded by Nazi henchmen from the Buchenwald concentration camp in Thuringia to the concentration camp in Flossenbürg in Upper Palatinate. On January 26, 1946, their mortal remains were reburied in the eastern cemetery of Marktleuthen and found their final resting place in a collective grave.
