The Bismarck Tower is 30 meters high, making it the tallest of its kind in Saxony-Anhalt. On the viewing platform, you are at a height of 151.2 meters. After the death of Prince Otto von Bismarck on July 30, 1898, a desire arose throughout Germany to erect memorial stones, fire columns, or observation towers in his memory. In 1902, the then district of Calbe also considered building a Bismarck Tower and raising the costs through donations. Fundraising began in the same year. In April 1903, it was decided to use the design by master mason Bielitz from Nienburg from 30 submitted drafts. By May, the 2-meter-thick and 4.5-meter-wide concrete foundation had already been completed. The tower was built from limestone from the quarries around Glöthe. The sand came from the pits at Wartenberg. The granite slabs came from the Harz mountains, and the steps were made of red sandstone from the Weser Uplands. The inauguration finally took place on March 22, 1904, the birthday of Kaiser Wilhelm I. Above the entrance hall, a stone was placed with the following inscription: "To Prince Bismarck in German loyalty and gratitude, inhabitants of the Calbe district 1903 – 1904" As the ravages of time took their toll on the structure, it was extensively repaired in 1983 and again from 1999 to 2001. Industrial climbers were involved in the renovation. The memorial hall at the foot of the tower was completely redesigned in 2004 on the occasion of the tower's 100th anniversary. https://www.calbe.de/Familie-Soziales/Sehenswertes/Bismarckturm/

Year of construction: The mill site has been documented as such since the 12th century; the mill was in operation until December 31, 1973. Condition: The mill machinery is no longer present. Only the turbine system is operational after its renovation. From 1900 onwards, five Francis turbines were installed, but these were decommissioned over the years due to wear and tear. The last of the turbines continued to run until the mid-1970s.

Three-aisled hall church, essentially dating from the 13th century. Rebuilt several times. A broad, two-towered west tower with slated spires.
