There are very beautiful and well-maintained hiking trails around Herzo Airport. At the airport itself, there's a fantastic pizzeria – a family-run business – with super friendly staff, absolutely amazing pizza, and the other food is also excellent. When the weather's nice, there's a great terrace right next to the runway. It's a MUST-visit.

"The veneration of Mary in its various forms is part of Catholic piety. It is impossible to imagine the life of the Church without the rosary, without the Marian month of May, without the Marian feasts and without the numerous depictions of Mary." (Julius Cardinal Döpfner, * 1913 + 1976)

The pizzeria there is really amazing - super tasty pizzas, very friendly staff, nice and bright interior. Come in and just feel good. My tip: Pizza Calzone (not on the menu) you can also design your own filling and it tastes amazing. I had it with ham, salami and cheese (standard) - I didn't know that you could hide so much salami and ham in it. I was like in "pizza heaven". Oh yes, if you are more than 2 people, make a reservation in advance - it's always full. Trattoria La Bussola
