The Mäuseturm-Magdeburg is a restaurant directly on the Elbe, not far from the Elberadweg cycle path. Originally, after its completion in 1909, it functioned as a pumping station in Magdeburg Prester. https://www.maeuseturm-magdeburg.de/ The pumping station was built in 1905 on the east bank of the Elbe. A distinctive feature is the tower on the west side of the building, built of brick and visible from afar, which is crowned with battlements. Until the construction of this building, also known locally as the Mäuseturm (Mouse Tower), the Buckau waterworks located on the west side of the Elbe had also drawn the Elbe water needed as drinking water for the city of Magdeburg from the west bank. Due to the deteriorating quality of the Elbe water, water was drawn from the east side from 1905 onwards. Source and more info here: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sch%C3%B6pfwerk_bei_Prester
