Idyllic spot with a bench, then a rather bumpy single track with quite a few roots

The house de Hoge Duvel, if you continue cycling towards Apeldoorn you will go up the real Hoge Duvel. At the top is a bench. That is the highest point of the crown domain.

Daniël George van Beuningen, art collector and founder of the famous Dutch museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, had four pyramids of boulders built on his estate between 1938 and 1955 as a form of art. This pyramid is named after Daniël George's granddaughter: Miesje Peterich and contains a bricked-in stone with the year 1948 (year of construction) on the front and a bricked-in horseshoe on the back. The three remaining pyramids have been expertly restored by volunteers from the Heemkundige Vereniging Nuwenspete since 2009.

Crown domain Het Loo is the largest contiguous estate in the Netherlands. In addition to beautiful nature, you will also find a rich cultural history here. The estate has been in royal hands for centuries, but its history goes back much further. You will also find several prehistoric burial mounds in the area!
