The River Lune Millennium Park path is a flat, 9-mile (15 km) traffic-free route from Caton to Lancaster, perfect for walking, cycling, pushchairs, and wheelchairs. It follows the old β€œLittle” North Western Railway along the riverbank and features intriguing artworks like the Millennium Bridge, heron sculptures, flowing benches and glass β€œRiver Rocks.” In September and October, you might see salmon and sea trout leaping in the river.

Surface is pretty good but there are a few lumps and bumps so take care

Decent train station. With bikes, platform 4&5 are on the side closest to the castle via a lift, platform 1,2,3 are on the large car park side where buses stop

Lovely path along the river, with views out towards the river mouth. Can get wet at really high tides though!

A nature reserve close to the city centre of Lancaster. Nice area to get away from the noise of the town and makes a very nice walk when combined with the nearby Lancaster Canal.
