The park is located on the banks of the River Wear, it features a large children's play area, a seasonal splash pad, ornamental gardens, a skatepark, and sports facilities.

Nice park, look out for the public art, i.e. the dog, its also a good rest point, with handy café and toilets.

Start and finished at Chester-le-Street park. Lovely route along the river with a slight detour due to a path closure. Easy pleasant walk
