Nice hill close to castle and views as far as Forth Bridges on clear day

You are afforded some wonderful views of Castlehill Reservoir from this point just off the main road. This is a great starting point to explore many of the delights this area has to offer, including Seamab and Commonedge Hill.

This trail winds through a picturesque open grassy area alongside the Dollar Burn stream, which flows from the small town of Dollar. You'll find several benches and ample open space, perfect for a picnic.

Bridge that goes from the parking directly to the castle is closed. (6-05-24) A detour via the entire Glenn is necessary, or via the motorway up. My advice. Be sure to walk down along the Glenn.

The Dollar glen is a beautiful walk. Walkways lead up to the castle and make it fairly accesible (lots of steps still). There is a path near the top to lead you round to the back of the falls.

Dollar Glen. Magical with its many waterfalls, gullies and pools. Walk up one side to Castle Campbell and return via the other bank.
