The waterfall isn't far from the Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall parking lot, and the trail is manageable. However, the climb to the summit isn't "easy." It requires good fitness and absolute surefootedness. The trail is full of scree and can only be negotiated with short scrambles here and there. I'm 46 and generally fit. However, after the descent, I can definitely feel my back and knees hurting. Personally, I would classify the circular trail as "moderately difficult."

I have hiked WHW, I always see hikers wild camping the ascent out of Kinlochlevin. Just try to get there during daylight and somewhat early - so you can snag a spot. https://2player.co There is a place to camp on the right when you get into town as well - right along the trail. Just note - there are very few places to wild camp on the descent down into Kinlochlevin. Midges in SEP aren't too bad - mostly troublesome in mornings and evenings. Highly encourage you to still bring bug net - mostly at the campsite.

The first climb of Kinlochleven is very demanding, but the views back to Loch Leven totally compensate.
