Beautiful in every season, but watch out for traffic: the best view of the promontory is from an area of the road without lay-bys.

The name "Is Arenas" means "the sands", specifically "sand dunes", and this is one of the largest sandy extensions in Italy. Originally a small desert, it has been reforested since the 1950s with pines and acacias to prevent the expansion of the dunes and desertification of the internal area. Today, Is Arenas looks like a beach with a large green area. With a length of almost six kilometers, it represents one of the largest beaches in the Oristano area.

Sa Capanna beach is located under the ancient Pozzo tower, which is accessed via a steep stone staircase. Characterized by tuff formations, it offers a panoramic view of S'Archittu, the natural arch carved into the limestone rock by the force of the mistral. The sea, with its characteristic blue and green colours, surrounds this small and quiet beach, creating an evocative play of colours. From the promontory above, known as "Sa Balena", a corridor opens in the rock that reaches the open sea.

The Su Puttu tower or Pozzo tower is a Spanish structure located in the seaside village of Cuglieri. Built around the 16th century, it had the function of sighting and defense against enemy incursions. Its name derives from the presence of a natural well dug by erosion, which extends from the promontory to the sea. The tower stands 18 meters above sea level on the promontory that closes the bay of S'Archittu to the south and offers a view of the towers of Capo Mannu, Sca'e Sai and Pittinuri.

Beautiful little beach with great rock formations below the "Whale of Torre del Pozzo". On weekends the beach is often visited by locals.
