Kittersburger Mühle To avoid constantly having to make the, for those times, long journey to Rohrburg or Altenheim, the wealthy citizen Joseph Hügel established a gristmill with two pairs of millstones and a grooved millstone, as well as a rubbing mill, here in 1767. The mill remained in the possession of the Hügel family until 1827, after which the owners changed. After a fire in 1928, a larger new building was erected. In 1938, the Prince of Fürstenberg took over the building as his hunting lodge. Today, the Kittersburger Mühle, with its idyllic location, is a popular destination for hikers and cyclists.

A wonderful little swimming lake. At the southern end, there's a pretty beach, a place to stop for refreshments, and—if the kids still have energy—a great indoor playground in the Kiddy Dome.

A beautiful little church that's worth taking a few minutes to enjoy. The already beautiful little church has been beautifully renovated and the interior is absolutely worth seeing. Thank you for the kind words from the ladies who lovingly prepared Corpus Christi today.

A glazed shelter with a table and benches as a stopping point and place of refuge. On the Griesheim Bridge opposite the football field and sports center, such a rest stop has now been created for the first time as a covered pavilion. Cyclists can rest here. In a clearly laid out display case, inns and hotels in the surrounding area are presented and information on bicycle services is given. Information on service In addition, the General German Bicycle Club's (ADFC) concern for climate-friendly and environmentally friendly travel by bike is manifested. So anyone who takes a break in Griesheim, lets their eyes wander between the Rhine foreland and the Black Forest mountains, enjoys the natural course of the Kinzig and Mühlbach, may also want to stay a little longer and enjoy "Bed and Bike" in and around Offenburg. This would be the success of the city of Offenburg's concept, which has enriched its 120-kilometer cycle path network with this innovative project, as Mayor Dieter Eckert emphasized. In this way, the city is supporting the increasing bicycle tourism and in this case with a financial investment of 20,000 euros, explained the mayor. Mayor Werner Kempf was very impressed with the newly created ensemble. It is the first station in the Ortenau region, fits perfectly into the landscape and enriches the heavily frequented cycle path. This is not only the connection between Offenburg and the Hanauerland, but is also part of the European cycle path from Molsheim (Alsace) via Strasbourg, Kehl and to Offenburg. The cycling specialists can also continue to enjoy the heights of the central and northern Black Forest on the Kinzigtal cycle path up to Freudenstadt at further gates. All cycling enthusiasts thus have an attractive cycle network for "cycling and resting", can continue to embark on larger or smaller ventures and, like the Offenburg group, may even unexpectedly get a glass of inaugural champagne when more such cycle stations are inaugurated. So nothing now stands in the way of the Griesheim model.
