In front of the church, there is a small, well-kept area. In a fieldstone-built semi-circle, a sculpture group stands centrally, depicting a German soldier with his wife and child. On the wall behind it are nameplates for the fallen of the two world wars. Outside, on the wall of the semi-circle, there is a roughly 1.2 m high obelisk for a fallen soldier from the 1870 war. http://www.denkmalprojekt.org/2019/dorfchemnitz_stadt-zwoenitz_erzgebirgskreis_70-71_wk1_wk2_sx.html

The Kretscham, the village inn with a brewery, has been the estate with the largest land area since time immemorial and at the same time the center of all gatherings. The so-called Hegen- or Rügengerichte were held here annually. In 1624, the Elector complied with the Dorfchemnitz request for the granting of hereditary jurisdiction. In the last decade of the 30 Years' War, this was tragically lost after 10 people died of the plague in the hereditary court. The listed ensemble of the hereditary court could be preserved after the fall of the Wall through private investment as a jewel of the grown village center. https://www.greifensteine.de/de/poi/historische-staette/erbgerichtsgut/805324936/

Born in 1632 as the son of a pastor in the Dorfchemnitz district, the natural law philosopher and early Enlightenment thinker Samuel von Pufendorf can be considered the most famous son of the present-day Zwönitz district. Against this background, at the end of the 1990s, the collection of a modest selection of historical writings and reproductions of graphics and texts was begun in order to dedicate an exhibition section to Pufendorf in the local museum. The fairy tale mushroom in front of the primary school is also worth a look. It rotates continuously. https://sachsen.museum-digital.de/collection/1691 https://www.zwoenitz.de/ortsteile/zwoenitzer-ortsteile/dorfchemnitz
