Avenues of ornamental trees are more associated with a botanical garden or a castle park. In Krosno, such a natural wonder has recently been created in the vicinity of the Vivo shopping gallery, beautifully cutting through the parking lots surrounding the gallery. The trees are still growing, and one can imagine what a beautiful, flowery umbrella they will form in a few years. The brick church in Krościenko Wyżne is impossible to miss, because it has a large tower and stands at the crossroads of roads towards Krosno, Iskrzynia and Pustyn. To the left of the church, on a side street, there are parking lots. WW --------------------------------- The church presents a silhouette and architectural detail characteristic of Polish sacral architecture of the early 20th century. This work of an outstanding creator, architect Teodor Talowski, is characterized by a picturesque combination of neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic forms. The church is also a spatial dominant in the village development. The parish in Krościenko Wyżne has existed since the 14th century, the oldest mentions of the church date back to 1377. Construction of the current church began in 1908 and lasted until 1914. In 1992, the roof truss was renovated and its covering was changed from ceramic roof tiles to copper sheet. A charming corner of the Krosno Old Town, hard to spot when exploring the city without a guide. Forteczna Street ends blindly at the back of the Department Store building, but you can turn to the side and take the stairs to the area of the Franciscan church. There is a paid parking lot at the bottom of Forteczna Street, but after 4 p.m. and on weekends you can park for free. This is a convenient place, located close to the historic city center. WW

The path starts at the parking lot next to Galeria Portius and leads along Niepodległości Street towards the bridge over the Wisłok River, where it lowers and joins the path along the river. The beautiful, intense colors of the surface attract attention. Initially, only the red cyclist lane is visible, and from the bridge next to the red one you can see the yellow pedestrian lane. We will see whether the colors will remain the same over the next few years. WW
