The trails around the reservoir are dirt doubletrack with great views out to the Flatirons. There are lots of branching trails here to explore with no fear of getting lost.

November 12, 2023, Lefthand Trailhead

The Lefthand Trailhead is the main access point for a popular system of mountain biking trails on the eastern end of Lefthand Canyon. More of a large pullout than a true trailhead with a parking lot, there are no bathrooms, picnic area, or water stations here. There are restroom facilities just a little down the road east of here at Buckingham Park if you need them.

There is a sizable packed gravel parking lot here with bathrooms and access to a host of trails.

After crossing an attractive wooden footbridge the Ceran Saint Vrain Trail heads north, following the South Saint Vrain Creek until it intersects with Miller Rock Road. The trail is relatively flat and easy, but there are a few places where there are rocks and roots on the trail. In the spring and summer, there are many beautiful wildflowers along the trail and by the creek.
