July 10, 2026, Along McGillivray Creek

This trail leads to Whitecroft Falls, also known as the McGillivray Creek Waterfall. The waterfall is the protagonist of the hike, but the short hike there is also very nice. The trail itself climbs to the waterfall and gets increasingly rocky, with a few tree roots, but it never really gets hard. It's a great place to go on a short walk, especially if you're driving around in the area, as drives can get quite long here.

This old tractor is on the lookout at Hallamore Lake, on the lake itself you can use rowing boats or canoes for free.

It takes some effort to reach this location via the dirt road, but it is a beautiful location on the lake. We were with a camper, but if you don't have one, you can rent one of the log cabins in the park.

There is no sign and no real trailhead, you just have to know it is there. Just follow a trail up the McGillivray Creek to get to this wonderful place. There is even a lovely bench up at the falls.
