High Ridge Park is a large green space that connects to the town's 45-kilometre inter-linked trail network. This park has thick forests and a pond, feeling like an escape into the woods but also has lots of modern facilities like tennis courts, sports diamonds, a playground, paved trails, toilets, benches and a parking lot.

Westerra Park sits in the Lake Westerra neighbourhood on the western side of town. It is a great family spot as the trails are paved and flat, and there are playgrounds and wide-open green lawns. The park is bordered by an environmental reserve filled with mature trees, and there is a large L-shaped pond right in the middle of the park.

49th Ave Park sits near the newly renovated downtown core and major bus routes, so the park is generally flat and trails fully paved. This long narrow park stretches east to west along 49th Ave. There is a public skate park among the green lawns. It's close to downtown, so it is convenient to reach, but also because of its proximity to commercial spots, walkers should expect more vehicle traffic nearby and should be careful while crossing intersections.

This is the entrance point to Prospector's Point Recreation Area. There is Parking, Picnic Tables, washrooms, river access and overall some great scenery of the North Saskatchewan River. The trailhead for the Devonian trail is also located here. The area is open from 6am to 11pm, and dogs must be leashed.
