Excellent highway riding. Very low traffic volume. Fun and pretty and varied landscape to look at. Great ride. Wide paved shoulder along the entire length (which might also be the case south of Notre-Dame-du-Laus, but I haven't ridden there yet), with almost always great asphalt. In a few limited sections, there are a few cracks in the road surface, but nothing major. Highly recommended.

Small convenience/grocery store with SAQ for those so inclined. Currently open 8am-8:30pm There are other resupply/food options in Kazabazua, including a sandwich/quiche store right next to Marché Kaz, a gas station and a chip wagon / casse-croute (called kaz-croute) further down the road.

There is public access to a sandy beach from the rest area. It is a great spot for a dip, especially on a hot day.

Incredible experience, inclines are close to 15% but short. Last section, closer to the Lac Ste-Marie, is rough new gravel and not so pleasant to ride.

Breathtaking views from high above over the Lake Blue Sea area, 1 1/2 hour drive north of Ottawa / Gatineau. Lookout tower is located on top of Mont Morisette and can be reached by an intermediate 30 to 40 minute hike from the parking lot at the bottom of the mountain.
