I was lucky enough to marvel at more, less, or all of the viaduct as the clouds drifted by, changing the view every second. It's truly impressive what they built back then, given the circumstances. 👌🏻 There's a picnic area above.

This spectacular suspension bridge lies quite modestly behind a construction fence. Yet it has nothing to hide. Not only is the view from here impressive, but so is the structure itself, with its glass viewing platform and impressive counterweight below. At home, you'd have to shell out €12 for that. It's recommended to include the bridge in the beautiful and varied 4km circular hike from/to Unterbäch. You can't do more than that in a 4km hike.

Quite stable suspension bridge, but especially the access path from Hohtenn is only suitable for sure-footed and vertigo-free people

Suonen [ˈsuɔnən] [ˈsuənən] (singular Suon or Suone), also Bissen (singular Bisse, from French le bisse), Wasserfuhren (singular Wasserfuhre) or Wasserleiten (singular Wasserleite), are historical or still existing water pipes in the Swiss canton of Valais. Thomas Platter from the Mattertal speaks about the water pipes in his biography from the 16th century: «... we were in love with a water pipe where the water was led down the mountains to the farms.» https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suone
