The historic town of Bad Neualbenreuth is idyllically nestled in a hilly landscape. Preserved half-timbered farms from the Egerland region, the local history museum, and the baroque church bear witness to a vibrant, historic past. The Sybyllenbad health center also exudes nature, tranquility, and hospitality.

A beautiful little hike if you don't "have to" climb the peaks 🤪 but just want to see something beautiful. But be careful, because it's easily accessible, there's more foot traffic here than at Rachelsee or Latschensee. But less than at Großer Arbersee.🐑🐾🐾

The Triftsteig trail toward the small Abersee is very beautiful but also quite challenging. Sturdy footwear is a must. The trail follows the stream throughout. It takes about 2 hours to walk from the parking lot to the lake.

I chose this path as my way up to the small Arbersee. I'd hate to walk down it. It's nice and shady, always by the water. You don't need to bring anything for the dogs to drink; they always come to the water. You could even dip your feet in here and there.

A small waterfall on the path between Sommerau and the Kleiner Arbersee. A lovely spot for a hiking break.

This path leads along the Solbach stream to the waterfall. It's a very pleasant walk, especially in summer temperatures.
