Nice views, but at the end of the path at the intersection with the forest path, it is better to go back down the forest path instead of turning right because the path becomes completely unusable, even by mountain bike in my opinion (overgrown with vegetation on the descent)

Mirepoix is a place well worth seeing, with a town center full of half-timbered houses with rows of shops. It's very busy when it's market day! You can see more of the beautiful houses without the market.

The Canal du Midi is a technical masterpiece by an individual, someone obsessed with the idea, by Pierre Paul Riquet. ..." => https://www.ardmediathek.de/video/schaetze-der-welt/gcanal-du-midi-frankreich-folge-224/swr/Y3JpZDovL3N3ci5kZS82OTg2NDg2

Belflou castle, nestled in the eponymous village, is distinguished by its remarkable moat. These aquatic ditches, surrounding the castle, measure approximately 10 meters wide. The castle, still standing, offers an authentic glimpse of feudal architecture.
