The city wall dates from the second half of the 13th century (partially 13th/14th century) and encloses the historic town center almost without interruption. It is approx. 1,735 meters long, an average of 6–7 meters high, and extends about 2 meters into the ground. It consists mainly of fieldstones (the top often made of brick). At regular intervals of about 25–30 meters, 47 (depending on the source, up to approx. 50–55) semi-circular watch houses are inserted. Templin is particularly characterized by the fact that most of them are designed as open, city-side semi-circular shell towers – a peculiarity that creates the impression of many towers.

From the high embankment in a Havel curve, you have a magnificent view. Boats pass by again and again. But the old bench is unfortunately dilapidated and from the so-called picnic area further up in the terrain, you have absolutely no view of the river, only of the extensive heath landscape. And there, moreover, the heather cover is so poor that one cannot be enthusiastic even during the flowering season.

Beautiful paved cycle path through the forest.

Hey everyone! - This is Gleuensee, not Fährkrug (somewhere else entirely). From the poorly maintained path and even from the short stretch of bike path, there are few views of this lake, which is really nothing special. It's almost impossible to get to it, only with difficulty, and you can't, or rather shouldn't, swim in it!

Up at the crossroads, you'd have no idea what a fantastic swimming spot Lake Warta is. It's surrounded by tall trees, offers plenty of seating, and a truly magnificent view of the lake. The diving platform makes the whole thing even more picturesque! Swimming, taking a break, or just looking around—everything is perfectly possible here and highly recommended! The parking lot at the top of the crossroads has plenty of space, making it a great starting point for a lovely hike!
