The path has been partially rebuilt. The heavy rain and storms in 2024 have likely taken their toll on the path and the forest. https://youtu.be/R8UajCrKk2g

Remains of the Villa Rustica Oberlunkhofen. The manor house stands on a terrace overlooking the Reuss Valley and the Alps. The manor house had a portico with two corner projections on the south side. A bathroom was added to the eastern part of the house during a later construction phase. Seven rooms had simple white-ground wall paintings. Coins and ceramics indicate that the villa was inhabited from approximately 50 to 250 AD.

This beautiful and easy hike starts directly at the public car park (free of charge) at the Vita Parcours. Today during my breakfast I decided to do a small and easy hike so as not to exert myself too much before the Rigi March, which takes place on May 8th, 2024, which I will be taking part in this year. Then I remembered this small and beautiful hike that I did years ago, today not exactly the same, but similar. It is a beautiful hike that mostly runs through the forest and follows the Jonenbach parallel to it. There are always nice barbecue areas where you can take a break. Especially early in the morning you can really enjoy nature; you can hear the birds in the forest, for me it is like pure meditation and you can really recharge your batteries. What I also find very beautiful is the Jonental Chapel, which is the most important pilgrimage chapel in the canton of Aargau. Therefore, I recommend that everyone who does this hike stop by there. The entire hike is very easy and easy to walk. Highlights that I experienced: - Jonental Chapel - Pure nature - Easy to walk paths - Always nice barbecue areas FYI: Here is the video https://www.relive.cc/view/vLqex3wQ8d6 Equipment: Normal hiking equipment FYI: Easy hike Difficulty level: T1 (hiking) You can find more information about me at www.chrisontour.ch

The limestone coatings of the rock, which created the limestone precipitated from the spring water, are particularly special.

At the moment (June 23) the footbridge is impassable because it tilted and slipped off the bearing on one side.
