For those who enjoy riding uphill, the trip to Gedeonseck is highly recommended. It is just under 2 km of quite steep climbing through the forest. Especially in autumn and winter, the well-paved path is rarely used by cars, as the restaurant is closed during that time. Tip for road bike and gravel bike riders: The detour to Gedeonseck can be perfectly combined with the equally quiet climb through the Mühlental to Pfaffenheck.

The Moselle valley with its steep slopes is very impressive, but the cycle path in the lower part leaves something to be desired🤷

Wow, when you are at the Gedeonsblick for the first time and look at the Rhine loop, you are overwhelmed by this view. I was lucky enough to enjoy this view alone in the middle of the week in brilliant sunshine ☀️.

Just a few kilometers from the city center of Koblenz, in the district of the same name, high above the left bank of the Rhine, stands Stolzenfels Castle. In terms of art and cultural history, the castle, built in the 19th century from the ruins of a 13th-century castle, along with its associated park and gardens, is considered one of the most remarkable achievements of Prussian Rhine Romanticism. Originally built by the Archbishop of Trier, Arnold von Isenburg, Burg Stolzenfels was used to collect the Rhine toll until 1412. In 1689, the French destroyed the castle during the War of the Palatinate Succession. After Napoleon's defeat, the complex passed into the possession of the city of Koblenz. In 1823, the city finally gifted the ruin to the Prussian Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm... https://www.visit-koblenz.de/sehenswuerdigkeiten/schloss-stolzenfels

The Kronprinzenweg is beautiful, and the descent through the deciduous forest is also great. The path here is so narrow that you can only walk one behind the other. The ascent, however, really wore me out. Although there are always beautiful views, it was very strenuous, with many climbing sections (despite the hiking variant). I needed more than 2 hours and a lot of strength just for that. "For every fitness level" doesn't fit here. For me, it was nice that 2 restaurants were immediately available at the top. Tip for those unwilling to climb: Both the start and end points of the cable car are directly on the route.

The cycle path along the vineyards is quieter to cycle than the cycle path parallel to the road. The cycle path along the road is great for speeding. You have less noise and nicer views from the vineyard cycle path. Leads through Güls and Winningen, where a break and some sightseeing are also recommended. Beautiful idyllic places, at various festivals, such as this year's Gülser Blütenfest and 1250 year celebration, May 1st and others, there also the wutz is blocking in the illustrative.
