The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Stephen is located in Kleinkemnat, a district of Kaufbeuren in Bavaria. The building is listed as a monument in the list of monuments in Kaufbeuren under the number D-7-62-000-229. The church belongs to the Deanery of Kaufbeuren of the Diocese of Augsburg. The hall church consists of a nave rebuilt in 1726, a recessed, three-sided choir to the east, whose surrounding walls date from the 15th century and whose vault was renewed in 1726, and a choir flank tower on a square base on the south wall of the choir, which was rebuilt after a lightning strike in 1883. Its uppermost floor with chamfered corners houses the tower clock and the bell tower. A pointed spire rises between the gables. The interior of the nave is spanned by a barrel vault, that of the choir by a cloister vault. The frescoes were added in the mid-18th century. The high altar, built around 1700, is decorated with acanthus. A depiction of Mary is on the tabernacle. A statue of the Archangel Michael stands on the soundboard of the pulpit.

The route was newly paved in 2025, but that's no free pass to speed because the road hasn't gotten wider..
