This is the way down to Rio Negro. The road is mostly gravel, but depending on the time of the year, it can have a lot of bumps and holes (which is great for mountain biking). ;)

You have the choice: Either attempt a river crossing or take the suspension bridge. On the day of our ride, Rio Negro was actually still quite deep and the surroundings were very muddy. When taking the suspension bridge be careful with loose wires cutting holes in your shirt (happened to the both of us). Also, your handlebar might be a bit too wide, which makes it challenging to cross the bridge. ;)

Nice viewpoint located shortly before a steep descend (or after steep climb, depending on the direction :)).

Although this officially is a road, it feels more like a Mountainbike Trail. After the rainy season (when the road is washed out), this piece features a lot of bumps, little rollers, rock gardens and a steep descend – formed by the nature itself. And to add on top, you’ll get a perfect view into the jungle valleys and will finish your ride at the beach.
