The St. Maria pilgrimage chapel in Pützfeld is not just a picturesque photo opportunity. It sits enthroned on the rocky slope of the Biebelsley above the Ahr, stretching its spire towards the sky. A visit to the chapel is surprising. The early Baroque interior appears to be completely preserved. The high altar, side altars, pulpit, and confessional are richly decorated and, in their coloring, are somewhat reminiscent of the venerable perfume Echt Kölnisch Wasser.

Within the ancient walls of the Augustinian convent, built in 1137, a truly enchanting setting awaits. The unique ambiance of the convent garden and ruins invites quiet contemplation and is equally suitable for events, ranging from concerts to private family celebrations, whether large or small.
