Built in 1888, this floating bridge is unique and is affectionately known as "The Swinging Old Lady". The bridge rests on a series of wooden pontoons and swings sideways to allow ships to enter Willemstad harbor. The great thing is that when the bridge opens, you can stand on it and watch it all happen. This makes the pontoon bridge not only a practical connection between Otrobanda and Punda, but also an ingenious piece of engineering that fits perfectly with the charm of Curaçao. Be sure to visit the bridge at night. It's worth it.

Kokomo Beach used to be called Vaersenbaai. There is a relaxed atmosphere, even in the main season. The beach has a good restaurant and a diving school. The sunsets are wonderful.
