This forest path was easily passable in the summer of 2025. In June 2026 overgrown; meter-deep bog pools had formed in the middle of the path. I got stuck twice in hot, dry weather; losing a shoe and almost my bike in the bog pool. Directly next to the passable strip of grass, there is deep bog water, making it difficult to find footing to retrieve lost items. I was finally able to pull everything out again - but currently there is real danger here: the deep black water disguises shallow puddles and hides the actual water depth.

It's not exactly pretty, the new bridge… but of course helpful, and good that it exists at all

One of the many trails in the Kaltenkirchen Heath. You can simply go with the flow here - turn off somewhere and the next trail will come along...
