Info about the water wheel: Idyllically situated on the Mörnbach, with the backdrop of the south wing of Tüßling Castle, the visitor to the market in Tüßling almost sees the water wheel as a landmark. It is one of several water wheels that used the water power of the Möhnbach in the market and foremarket of Tüßling. For example, water wheels provided the driving force for the forge hammers in the hammer forge in the Vormarkt, the oldest known mention of which dates back to 1586, and whose location on the Mörnbach was also deliberately chosen to exploit water power. Another wheel drove the whetstone in the nearby grinding mill and one or more were used to drive the saw at the master sawmill. In the market town of Tüßling, more water wheels can be seen on the survey map from 1848, namely two at the Hofmühle, which has since been demolished, and another at the level of the south-east tower of the service wing of Tüßling Castle. This is probably the water wheel described in the "Wochenblatt des lanswirtschaftsvereins in Bayern" from 1834...
