Nice hut, but unfortunately no opportunity to rest. Neither at the summit nor here at the hut. The last bench was at the Zankelstein viewpoint!

Beautifully laid out and also a photo opportunity. Otherwise nothing highlight. Private property. Blocked.

The house is located on the outskirts of Pommelsbrunn, below the Lichtenstein Castle ruins in the Northern Jura Nature Reserve. Its beautiful and tranquil mountain location, overlooking Pommelsbrunn in the Högenbach Valley and its scenic mountains, Zankelstein and Mühlkoppe, as well as the Houbirg opposite, offers numerous hiking opportunities through shady mixed forests, over rocky peaks, and through valleys crisscrossed by still-clear streams. On Sundays and public holidays, during club events, or by arrangement, the house is also open to the public. Three common rooms and a fully equipped self-catering kitchen are available year-round. Our five cozy rooms with 1, 2, and 3 beds, furnished with solid wood furniture, have hot and cold running water, and, together with the three cozy bedrooms, form our overnight accommodation. The on-site playground, adjacent light woodland, and Jura scree slopes (fossilized rocks!) offer ample opportunities for outdoor play and adventure. https://www.naturfreunde.de/haus/naturfreundehaus-pommelsbrunn

Here you can borrow the key for the Arzberg Tower. You can have a good meal here before the tour, after the tour or, of course, both times.
