Real magic, two perfectly clear creeks meet and create this marvellous blue river. Keep hiking along the river to the point of creation, unreal! Swimming in the park is forbidden but you can do it once river leaves the park, just of the main road. Enjoy and respect.

One of the highlights of the grandiose Tenorio Volcano is Rio Celeste. Mysteriously baby blue river that is created by two perfectly clear rivers joining and creating this miracle. Of course there are fancy explanations by locals as Godly creation but, as you can see in the picture, science of chemistry explains the real reason. Or not? It is great way to take a brake from biking and enjoy few hours of hiking along the river and slopes of the Tenorio. If rained previous day, could be muddy and slippery. Otherwise just beautiful easy hike. Try to be there at opening around 9 to avoid parking problems and overcrowds. Swimming is not allowed inside the park but you can swim at the crossing of main road and Rio Celeste just outside the park. Enjoy
