On this section, you follow the course of the Usa near Friedberg. The gently meandering river originates in Neu-Anspach in the Taunus mountains, about 30 kilometers away, and has been gradually renatured for about 15 years. Weirs have been removed and bank reinforcements dismantled. Close to the clear water, you follow the wild-grown bank of the river to its confluence with the Wetter. With a bit of luck, you can observe a few beavers building their dams or grey herons hunting.
