End of asfalt road from Arequipa. The road to the Salar the Salinas is gravel. Be aware that there are many tourist vans and trucks making riding hard because of all the dust. We were told that in weekends it should be better as there will be no trucks.

The view is spectacular, from here you can see the city of Arequipa escorted by the Chachani, the Pichu Pichu and the great Misti, as well as several snow-capped peaks, mountains and the landscape of Arequipa.
