Part of the back road between Nesfield and Ilkley. Very popular with cyclists.

It's certainly easier heading up Hardings Lane from Ilkley than taking on Lanshaw Bank out of Beamsley to get to Langbar, but it is still fairly steep ascent. The rewards are spectacular views and the pat on the back you can give yourself for making it to the top. Definitely worth the effort.

The road between Barden and Burnsall on the B6160 is pretty gorgeous with typical Yorkshire scenery. The views out towards Appletreewick and the river Wharfe are pretty pleasing to the eye and are just a reminder as to how beautiful Yorkshire is. No wonder this county has produced so many noted cyclists at world level.
