Can be busy at weekends.

Paid for toilets - 40p - it’s a little hit and miss (no pun intended) on whether they’ll accept your coins. They don’t give change either but when you have to go, you have to go.

RNLI Station; Toilets; Car parking; Refreshments. And plenty of benches to sit, rest and enjoy your ice cream 🍦😁

These spectacular sculptures by Antony Gormley are on Crosby beach. Another Place consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the foreshore, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. The Another Place figures - each one weighing 650 kilos - are made from casts of the artist's own body standing on the beach, all of them looking out to sea, staring at the horizon in silent expectation. Having previously been seen in Cuxhaven in Germany, Stavanger in Norway and De Panne in Belgium, 'Another Place' is now a permanent feature in the UK, at Crosby Beach.

The Crosby Beach Parkrun starts just outside the leisure centre every Saturday at 9:00. The course is an out and back heading northwest along the coast, it's marshalled and signed so easy to follow and fun with a strong parkrun community. If you're running here at any other time, you can still follow the course or run a shorter or longer distance along the coast. The running is great with a surfaced trail or the sandy beach depending on what you feel like. Heading north you can run to Formby (or further) which makes a lovely loop with the ice cream van at the turn around point. South and you'll get into Liverpool.

The southern end of Crosby Beach and the Another Place Sculptures. Sculptor Antony Gormley has installed 100 cast iron casts of himself looking out to sea. The installation is called Another Place.
