No longer bike friendly. The employee made it absolutely clear that e-bikes can not be charged here. I guess there insurance wonβt allow it. π€¬ However, if you need a charge and a bite to eat try the Barr community shop and cafe. They are very nice and welcoming and the prices and food are better. Such a disappointment. π

Hundreds of painted stones under the common motto "Kindness". You can end a tour nicely there.

The Southern Upland Way long distance trail runs through the forest south of Loch Trool. Some sections of the trail walk along the shoreline, allowing easy access to the beaches and great views. You can see Glen Trool Lodge on the far bank.

Between the forest and the waterfront is some superb singletrack. Its shared with the Southern Upland way and isn't a dedicated MTB trail, so be respectful of other trail users

This is a really nice blue and green trail with a mix of fire road and singletrack. Nothing technical and really suitable for a family ride
