Beautifully situated on the Steinach stream, this small 18th-century chapel is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. A table and two benches stand by the stream in front of the door. This idyllic setting invites you to linger for a while. Depending on the time of day, the trees also provide some shade for the overheated hikers and cyclists. The chapel was built in 1793 by local farmers Anton Bächtinger and Johann Georg Bendel. The interior was renovated in 1907. The shrine testifies to the veneration of Mary.

A small, charming chapel - a cool resting place on a strenuous bike ride. Right next to it you will find a shady rest area with a table and benches. A really nice place for a break.
