The European Bread Museum e.V. in Ebergoetzen is a specialist museum and houses the cultural-historical collection from grain to bread from more than 8,000 years of history and development of agriculture, grain processing and bread. Starting with the first farmers, the Linear Pottery Culture from around 5,500 BC. (Clay dome furnace), about the Bronze and Iron Age, the Middle Ages and finally the modern age, exhibits have been brought together. The museum presents its permanent exhibition in the stately late baroque building of the former forestry office in Radolfshausen.

The museum building dates back to the Baroque period and was an old manor house. There are two floors, upstairs is the bread exhibition, downstairs there is a bakery and special exhibitions

Wonderfully clear running water. Sandstone formations in the background, some of which are also used for climbing.

Here is a lovingly crafted bridge over the brook in Kohlgrund. In the meantime, I learned the background: the Radolfshausen municipality has developed a network of hiking trails about 180 kilometers long. This also includes the approx. 45 km long Radolfhaus Rundweg. An important missing section was the bridge in Kohlgrund. This was inaugurated in 2011. The cost was 1060 euros. The builders were Andreas Rudolph, Horst Schachtebeck and Ullrich Bennemann. According to Eichsfelder Tageblatt, they were supported by Mario Engelhardt and the Kurth-Holz company. Thanks to everyone involved!
